PSGNC Venues Announced!

DURHAM, North Carolina, February 2, 2018 – North Carolina’s largest multi-sport, amateur athletic sporting event will be returning to the Piedmont Triad region in 2018. The Powerade State Games of North Carolina will host events in Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Burlington and High Point from June 2 - June 30, 2018.

Over 13,000 athletes will have a chance to “go for the gold” in world-class venues throughout the Piedmont Triad region. The Greensboro Coliseum Complex and Aquatic Center will host both high school and youth basketball, Taekwondo, Swimming and Wrestling. BB&T Sports Park (formerly BB&T Soccer Park) will be the site of the youth soccer tournament and the newly added 7 on 7 football tournament. The Powerade State Games will be held in many other venues in the region, including: NC A&T University, UNC Greensboro, Tanglewood Park, Forsyth Country Day School, Wake Forest University, Greensboro Ice House, Tumblebees, Beaver Pond Sporting Club and many area schools, parks and recreation facilities. Registration is now open for the 2018 Powerade State Games of North Carolina, which will host twenty-four different sports. 7 on 7 football, archery and horseshoes are all newly added to the 2018 edition of the Games. The remaining sports include: baseball, basketball, BMX, disc golf, fencing, field hockey, figure skating, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, pickleball, rugby, shooting, soccer, softball, swimming, taekwondo, track & field, ultimate, volleyball and wrestling. The Powerade State Games will host two athlete festivals in 2018. The Winston-Salem Festival will be held on Saturday, June 16th during competition at BB&T Sports Park. The Greensboro Festival will be held Saturday, June 23rd during competition at the Greensboro Coliseum Conplex. Both festivals will feature free gifts for all athletes including an official Powerade State Games drawstring bag, Powerade Water Bottle and $10 to any Dick’s Sporting Goods store. Plus, raffles will be held every hour for prizes including an iPad mini, Beats Headphones, Google Home mini, Amazon Echo Dot, Amazon Fire and more.
